Great bridal party games for all to enjoy

Bridal party games are meant to be fun, yet some of them can be boring and tired.

Here are some of the most popular FUN games that people really enjoy playing at these types of parties. Get some items to use as prizes for the winners of the games. Some examples of game prizes include bottles of wine, potted plants, gift certificates, gift baskets, and gourmet chocolates. Tailor the gifts to the group and remember that prizes don’t need to be expensive.

1) Wedding Bingo – A fun twist on a traditional BINGO game.  Game cards contain words related to the wedding and honeymoon and the first person to get BINGO will win a special prize. Use small candy hearts as the BINGO markers.

2) Trivia Game – Create a trivia game about the bride and groom. For example, where did the bride and groom first kiss? Make a list of questions and answers. The group with the most answers correct gets a prize.

3) Scavenger Hunt – This old game can be made with a new twist by choosing items related to weddings. You can have the players look in their own purses and in your location for the items or allow them to canvas the neighborhood to collect the items on the list.

4) MadLibs with a wedding theme – An updated version of charades, MadLibs is a fun and interactive game. A similar game is Pictionary, can be played using wedding themed pictures.

5) Romantic Movie Lines – Say famous lines from romantic movies while players try to guess the name of the movie. Give out small prizes for correct answers or keep points and give a prize to the person with the most points at the end of the game.

6) Guess the Number of Items in a Jar – This is an oldie but a goodie. Fill a clear jar with a number of one type of item. As guests arrive have them guess the number of items in the jar. You can get very creative with the items you place in the jar!

Tips for Choosing Bridal Party Games

  • Custom tailor the games to the specific group
  • Keep games short. As games get longer, people begin to lose interest.
  • Don’t choose complex games. Games with complicated rules or instructions make people uninterested.
  • Provide simple written instructions to players to help them understand the game.
  • Use games to fill lulls in the party – don’t have all the games played at once.
