Congratulations – you’re engaged! One of the first decisions you’ll make as a new bride-to-be is choosing and asking your bridesmaids to participate in your big day. It’s fun to find a creative way to ask your bridesmaids to be your bridesmaids. Here are some ideas to get you started.
Balloon Pop – Have a get together with your gal pals and include balloons. Inside of each balloon, place a card that asks to be your bridesmaid. Get everyone to pop a balloon and they find out that you’re asking them to be a bridesmaid.
Flowers – If your bridesmaids are dispersed, this works well. Send each potential bridesmaid a floral bouquet. Include a card that asks them to be your bridesmaid. Make sure you send all the flowers on the same day.
Internet Video – Create and post a video online. In the video, film yourself asking your bridesmaids to participate in your wedding. Keep the video private by sending the address only to your intended bridesmaids. (Be sure to name them in the video).
Crossword Puzzle – Make your own crossword puzzle for bridesmaids to complete. The answers should spell out the words “Will you be my bridesmaid”. Be sure to include each bridesmaid’s name.
Jewellery – Start out the bridesmaid process on the right foot. Give your bridesmaids each a small necklace or bracelet. Include a card that asks each gal to be a bridesmaid in your wedding.
Jigsaw Puzzle – Choose a photo of you and your fiancé. Photo shop the words “Will you be my bridesmaid” on it before you print it. Glue it to cardboard backing and cut it into several large pieces. Put them in an envelope and give one to each of your possible bridesmaids. When they put the puzzle together they will see the question.
Fortune Cookie – Have special fortune cookies made up that include the fortune “will you be my bridesmaid?”. Send one to each of your bridesmaids in a fun little box for her to open.
Coasters – Plan a party with all of your potential bridesmaids but don’t tell them why. Give each one a coaster to use for her glass of wine. At a special moment, ask everyone to turn over the coaster to reveal the question – will you be my bridesmaid?
Fun Trip – Invite your bridesmaids on a girls-only trip. On the trip, give out cards that ask them to be your bridesmaid. Then, celebrate for the remainder of your holiday.
