When it comes to wedding trends, you need to decide which ones you like and which ones you don’t and go with your own decisions.

Wedding Trends That are Hot – or Not?

Wedding traditions are great, but lately many new trends have emerged – and not everyone agrees with them. When it comes to wedding trends, you need to decide which ones you like and which ones you don’t and go with your own decisions. Don’t worry about what others think!  Here are some of the hot (or not) wedding trends.

Trash the dress
Brides everywhere are having fun trashing their wedding dresses. Whether jumping into water, climbing trees, riding horses, or having paintball fights, trashing the dress is becoming a big trend. Brides are also having their photos taken (often by a professional photographer) while they do the trashing. If you spent a lot of money for your dress you may not want to ruin it. But, keep in mind that you won’t be wearing it again.

Pets in the Wedding
It’s no secret that people love their dogs, cats, and other pets – but now they’re actually becoming part of the wedding. If you adore your pet and he’s one of the family, you can have him join in on the wedding. Have your dog be your ring bearer if you like. Of course if you have your pet in the wedding you’ll need to dress him up!  While this can be fun, it can also be a turn-off for some of your guests.

All-White Weddings
We all know that it’s tradition for the bride to wear white, but what about the rest of the wedding party? A new trend that seems to be catching on is for the wedding party including the bride and bridesmaids, to wear white. This can make for a pretty look but some people may think it’s just too bland. The choice is up to you.

Coloured Wedding Dresses

Brides aren’t wearing just white or ivory anymore. A trend, likely started by celebrity weddings, is for the bride to wear a coloured dress. Among the top choices are pink and nude colours, but other colours have been spotted as well. You’re the focal point, so if you have a favourite colour you can choose it for your wedding gown.

Wedding Tattoos
Couples share a lot of things but a new trend is to share tattoos. Some couples are actually getting their wedding rings tattooed on their fingers. Others are having each other’s names tattooed in a prominent place. If you’re going to get your ring tattooed on your finger it’s certainly going to be a marriage for keeps.
