There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing a signature wedding drink.

Wedding signature drinks

One of the best recent wedding trends is to have a signature drink.  There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing a signature wedding drink. First, consider the colour. You’ll want the colour to coordinate with the colours of your wedding. Next, think about the taste. You want the cocktail to have a pleasant taste that has a wide appeal. It should be neither too sweet nor too strong. Finally, you should come up with a fun name for your signature drink. Try to use the names or initials of the bride and groom combined if possible.

It’s also best to create a signature drink that is rather simple to produce. Your bartender will likely need to make these up in large batches and you want them to be made quickly. Part of the fun of a signature drink is creating it! The bride and groom can spend some time developing and tasting the variations until they hit upon the exact concoction that they like the best.

You may choose to serve the signature drink at the dinner table, or you can set up an entire table of filled glasses. This will give guests an inviting way to take a test sip of your drink. Alternatively, you can provide pitchers of the drinks at each table. Offer cards that are printed with the name of the drink and the recipe so guests can recreate your signature drink at home.

Yellow – Start with a Limoncello base (traditional Italian lemon drink) and add vodka and soda for a fun, refreshing drink.

Pink – Think pink lemonade or raspberry to start and add some fizz with a sparkling wine or Champagne

Blue – Tropical blue drinks often start with blue curacao liquor to turn them blue. Add some coconut or pineapple juice and add a cherry.

Green – Think about using crème de menthe as a start for a pretty green drink.

White – White drinks aren’t that common but you can create one by using white chocolate liquor. Another option would be coconut juice as a base.

Orange – Orange juice is a good base for many different cocktails and will help to make an orange coloured drink.
