When you eat or drink certain types of foods and beverages it can add to water weight gain – also known as bloating.

Foods and Drinks to Avoid

It’s best to avoid foods and drinks that are known to increase bloating. Bloating can occur for a day or two after eating these items so be aware of what you’re eating for the few days prior to your wedding.

Drinking clear broth is also an option for those who wish to avoid excess bloat. However, make sure that you steer clear of overly processed foods and drinks that are full of salt. While the time before your wedding may feel very celebratory, you’ll want to watch what you eat in the days and weeks prior to your wedding day. It’s also essential that you try to reduce stress. Stress can take its toll on the body and can also be a source of bloating. Plan on taking a day off of wedding planning to visit a spa and have a massage. These activities will help you lower your stress and give your body more protection against bloating. You’ll also want to stay active. Exercising will help your body remove excess water through sweating. Finally, if you are feeling bloated on your wedding day don’t let it bother you – nobody will notice!
