When picking a DJ for my wedding, do I let them know what songs/music to play, or do I leave it up to them? How does it work?
When you pick a professional wedding DJ it is important to know what type of music you want at your wedding and if the DJ will be able to provide this music. It is important to let your wedding DJ know what genres to play. The age groups represented at your wedding is also important to know. So, a DJ can determine what era(s) of music they should play. A good wedding DJ will be able to accommodate to most the guests represented. Even though it is important to be able to choose what you want played at your wedding, the playlist should be left to the DJ. This gives the wedding DJ flexibility to play what songs work to get the crowd on the dance floor and to cut the songs not working. As for choosing your First Dance song, Cake cutting song, Bouquet and Garter toss song it will up to you what you want.
