Here are some important mistakes to avoid when planning your wedding transportation.

Avoid these wedding transportation mistakes

Scheduling your wedding day transportation is just one of the many things you’ll need to plan for your wedding. Transportation is a critical issue but one that many brides don’t give much thought to. However, you really want to avoid having any type of transportation mishap because it could ruin your entire day. Here are some important mistakes to avoid when planning your wedding transportation.

Wrong Length of Time – Scheduling your transportation can be tricky because the itinerary for the day may not be cast in stone. Before you book a limo be sure to add an hour to both ends of the trip. For example, if you plan on needing the limo between noon and 3 pm, it is a good idea to book it from 11 am to 4 pm. Yes, it costs a bit more, but it’s certainly worth it to make sure the vehicle is at your disposal when you need it.

Not Enough Space – Before you book your transportation you need to determine who needs to be included. If you’re booking transportation for just the bride and groom, this isn’t a problem. But if you need to transport your bridal party around you need to account for everyone who needs a ride. In some cases, you may need to get an additional vehicle rather than trying to cram too many people into one limo.

Forgetting About the Weather – Weather can play a big part in your wedding day and potential rain can create problems. If you’re choosing an open carriage or car, be sure to have a backup plan in case of bad weather. While it may not be your first choice, it’s best to have a warm, dry, ride rather than risking a wet, cold one.
Paying in Advance – Like any other service that you receive, it’s never a good idea to pay for the service in its entirety until the service has been rendered. If the limo is late (or fails to show up at all) it will be a lot harder to get your money back and you’ll be out of luck when it comes to transportation.

Unreliable Transportation – Cheaper isn’t always better. If you want reliable transportation you’ll need to ask questions and verify the vendor before signing a contract. Read online reviews and make certain that the service is a good one.
